Hello all!  Well I hope everyone has had a great week.  I’m sure we all can agree that we are glad that FRIDAY is finally here!!  This week has been a crazy one for me.  I had my mom here visiting so this week has been work, school, and family.  I feel like I have been a chicken with its head cut off this week lol.  But I’m really happy to have been able to spend so much time with my family this week.  My mom was born and raised here and most of her family is still on the island so it has been great to see all of them.  Other than family, classes have been pretty good this week.  I’m starting to get into a lot of my fun project in my different classes so that is really exciting.  Also this week I was able to look up classes for next semester.  I know it seems kind of early but I like getting things set as soon as possible.  So next semester is looking pretty good so far.  It was crazy though when I was looking at classes because I started to realize how little I have left.  It’s such a nice feeling to be able to check so many classes off and see the progress I’ve made.  Well I hope you all have a great weekend and next week! Until next week :)

Aloha!

Aloha everyone! My name is Kawelina, but all of my friends call me Kawe. I am going into my junior year here at Hawaii Pacific University studying Advertising and Public Relations and recently added a Travel Industry minor. So these next two years should be very interesting! I was born and raised on the Big Island, but having been coming to Oahu for summers and Holidays for as long as I can remember. Both my mom and dad were born and raised here on Oahu so I still have a ton of family here. This was one of the reasons why I chose to come to Oahu for my college years. I was glad to get away from home, but still close enough to go home for special events and I’m still able to see a lot of my family. So far, I’m loving all that Oahu and HPU has offered me. I’m just moved out of the Off Campus Student Housing in Waikiki, with my roommate and good friend Jana. We were assigned as roommates my freshman year and have been friends ever since. In August our lease ended at the off campus housing and although I loved my time there, I’m was ready to find an apartment of my own! I moved in with Jana and our two friends, who we met at the off campus housing, Kahea and Kaycee. Other than that I’m your typical college girl! I love to go out with friends, whether it is at the beach, hiking, going to zumba, or clubbing. I love to spend time with my family and trying new things. Through this blog I’ll be sharing with you my everyday college experience here in Hawaii. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me! Aloha (:
